TEAM CONTRACT Team Name: Team G 1. Identify a role for each team member. How will this structure allow the team to be more effective? The first two roles must be filled. Other roles could include facilitator, team members, note taker, timekeeper, and reviewer/publisher. (Note: There must be a team leader as well as someone designated to compile (a compiler) the handbook in addition to the remaining roles listed above.) Search for value in difference of both sides. Multiple perspect ives can lead to constructive agreements. 7. Determine how motivation strategies (at least two) could be used to effectively motivate team members. (Note: Motivation strategies are discussed in chapter 10 of the Leadership: Research, Practice and Skills textbook. This exercise must include at least one strategy from the textbook.) 1. Goal Theory: Goal setting as a means to improve performance. Specific goals lead to higher performance than general goals. Additionally, this strategy is useful because others are depending on one another to achieve goals for the greater good. 2. Expectancy Theory: Amount of effort individual expend depends on how much reward they expect in return. Group members will put forth a great deal of effort to pass the task because the reward includes passing the course, which for a personal gain is a step closer to the individual’s degree. 8. Determine how influence strategies (at least two) could be used to effectively influence team members.
